Reviews for Ranch House Restaurant
Review highlights
Based on 303 reviewsRanch House Restaurant in Town Creek is widely praised for its consistently good food and warm, friendly service. Reviewers often highlight the restaurant’s comfort food, with standout dishes including the patty melt, meatlovers omelet, Cajun catfish, and country fried steak. The sides, particularly fried green tomatoes and hush puppies, receive frequent commendation for their quality and flavor. The interior improvements, such as the addition of a party room, have enhanced the dining experience. While some note the presence of a smoking area with minimal separation from the nonsmoking section, this has not detracted significantly from the overall positive atmosphere. Cleanliness and efficient service are also commonly mentioned strengths. Overall, Ranch House is viewed as a reliable, welcoming spot for hearty, satisfying meals.
I grew up here in Town Creek. The Ranch House has been a constant since I was very little! Used to be called the Farm House, then had another name-but the food, and service has always been good! Over the last several years they have made major improvements to the interior of the restaurant even adding a party room! The Patti melt is amazing! All the breakfast is good! My fav is the meatlovers omelette my daughter prefers the chocolate chip pancakes! The best part, which I think is because of the small town surrounding, is that no matter who you are when you walk in the ppl there make you feel welcome!
First off, this restaurant has a smoking section that's separated from the non-smoking section by nothing. If that's going to bother you then this isn't the place for you. It didn't bother me so I tried the Country Fried Steak with green beans and fried green tomatoes. It came out quick, fresh, and hot. It is in the top five of all the country fried steak I've tried in 30 years. The green beans were really good and so were the fried green tomatoes. That, a cornbread muffin and an Iced Tea, and great service, and it was like 15 with tip. Where I'm from you can't get a Big Mac meal for that.
I give this a 5.0. The restaurant was busy, tables were clean, and we were still able to get great tasting food with friendly service.
It’s very rare that you get to write or view like this, this restaurant is absolutely fantastic! The food was a 20 out of 10 the service was equally as good and I will tell you that the fried green tomatoes are the best I’ve ever had. I can’t even imagine how well they cook them, The Cajun catfish was out of this world, and even hush puppies, which I don’t care for were fantastic.Highly recommend this restaurant to anybody in the area even if it’s worth driving a distance to come here.
I tried Ranch House for the first time yesterday. The cajun baked catfish fillets were outstanding. This was the best baked fish that I have ever tasted. I highly recommend it. The sides were also very good. I will definitely be going back again.
Now this place is the place to go if you are looking for hot fresh food and good service. Loved our server and the whole staff was polite and friendly country people. It was our first time here and I wish we lived closer because I could eat here every week.
Fantastic! I had the best BLT with fried okra. Husband had country fried steak with 3 sides. All of it was delicious! Waitress made good suggestions, food came out quickly, we even met the cook. Wish we lived closer than 4 hours away cause we'd be back frequently.
Good local food, at a fair price, as for the smoking, if it bothers you go to the other 99% of restaurants that are non-smoking.
